Reggie - Apple not a threat, more innovative ideas in the works, and still no Wii HD
A portion of a Forbes interview with Reggie Fils-Aime…
Forbes: Steve Jobs called you guys out when he positioned the iPhone and iPod touch as handheld gaming devices. What isNintendo ( NTDOY.PK - news - people ) doing about Apple’s encroachment on its handheld business?
Reggie Fils-Aimé: There’s been no data to suggest an encroachment on our business. The iPhone has been out on the marketplace for just a couple of years. In the last two years we’ve set two records on our DS business, last year selling over 11.2 million units. So there’s been no evidence that we’ve lost any business to that competitor.
On the other hand, we recognize that consumers have a limited amount of entertainment... [Read More]

Fragile Dreams - more Amazon Japan reviewer comments
I Enjoyed it (3 stars)
I`ve been interested in the game since before, so I bought it. I looked at the other reviews, but I had enjoyed it. It`s true that there isn`t a lot of content (I played slowly and got 15 hours), there`s few enemies, and there aren`t really boss-like enemies.

Because of that, it may be difficult to understand for younger players. I also felt that the story was sad and difficult. If you`re at this game for gameplay, I don`t think this game is the one for you. This may sound... [Read More]

Super Monkey Ball: Step and Roll - review
A portion of a C3 review…
Super Monkey Ball: Step and Roll tries to do something different, but instead strips the game of its challenge and throws in some unimaginative mini-games. Using the Wii Remote works well, and the balance board doesn`t, and because of the need to accommodate the board, as part of the core design, the game suffers. Worth considering if you’re a major fan of the series, but for a bigger challenge and more on offer, previous entries would be the way to go.
